Edith Wiggins Ebberwein, 68, of Savannah, passed away August 30th, at Hospice House of Savannah after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Jesup, Georgia in 1944, she was the daughter of the late Thomas George Wiggins and the late Clara Evelyn Wiggins. Edie was a retired insurance agent and a former member of the Insurance Women of Savannah. She enjoyed flying and was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Rhonda and Joy, she is survived by her husband, George Ebberwein, her daughter, Elizabeth Ebberwein, her daughter, Lisa Traynor Mike, her step-mother, Betty Wiggins of Brunswick, three brothers, Larry Wiggins, Kent Wiggins and Randy Wiggins Bonnie, all of Brunswick; brother-in-law, Joe Ebberwein Harriet; sister-in-law, Sr. Angela Marie Ebberwein, R.S.M.; three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Visitation: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church with burial following at Greenwich Cemetery.
